We are a
values-driven national non-governmental organization committed to advancing sustainable
development, education, protection, human rights, health, livelihoods, and
environmental protection through community-led action.
Founded in Gulu
District, Northern Uganda, GPF has responding to the urgent needs of children,
women, youth, and other vulnerable populations in post-conflict and
underserved contexts. From the start, we have worked closely with communities,
local authorities, and service providers to design and deliver practical,
locally driven solutions grounded in lived experience.
As community trust
deepened and needs evolved, we expanded our operations beyond Gulu to Refugee
Settlements in Adjumani, Madi Okolo, Yumbe and Lamwo Districts, serving
both refugee and host communities. Our integrated programming spans protection,
education, health, livelihoods, WASH, and basic services, ensuring holistic
and dignified support for those most at risk.
As a nationally
registered NGO under Uganda’s National NGO Bureau, we have strengthened our
governance and accountability systems, while positioning the organization to scale
impact across Uganda and expand collaboration at regional, continental,
and global levels.
We are guided by a
belief that, a just and equitable world is possible—one in which everyone, especially girls and women facing poverty, violence, and
discrimination, can realize their full potential. We empower children,
youth, women, and communities to drive positive change; create pathways for
young people to lead and innovate; and influence policy and practice through evidence,
partnerships, and strong community voices.
Anchored by our guiding
principles, GPF advances with purpose deeply rooted locally, globally
connected, and unwavering in our commitment to dignity, opportunity, and
lasting impact for allSample text. Click to select the Text Element.
